Until recently, if you wanted to watch a movie, a trip to a video store like blockbuster was your only option. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. Below is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.
Star Trek: Nemesis: The Romulans have a new leader in power. Since they are the closest starship in the area, the Enterprise is sent to the neutral zone to speak with Preator, the new Romulan leader. He has told the Federation he wants a peace treaty. When the Enterprise arrives they find themselves in the middle of a situation that could lead to the destruction of Earth.
Dennis The Menace: This is a movie version of the 1950's comic strip. With his parents out of town Dennis is staying with the neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. As usual Dennis is making life miserable for poor Mr. Wilson.
The Horse Whisperer: After her daughter is seriously injured in a horse riding accident, her wealthy mother takes the horse to a legendary horse whisperer in Montana. A romance between the two follows.
King of Jazz: Million dollar musical revue, shot in 2-color Technicolor format, is filled with bigger-than-life production numbers and remarkable melodies. Highlights contain Walter Lantz's animation pattern, Joe Venuti's swing violin, youthful Bing Crosby with the Tempo Boys, and, obviously, Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" which in early Technicolor is more a rhapsody in turquoise. Cast includes Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra, John Boles, Jeanette Loff, The Tempo Boys Bing Crosby, Al Rinker, and Harry Barris. (93 minutes, 1930)
Genealogies of a Crime: Deneuve is beaming in a twin role as the attorney for, and victim of, a strange youthful gentleman who's implicated of killing his psychiatrist mother's sibling after she supposedly subjected him to drastic mind-control therapy. Well-performed although conceited, deliberately perplexing blend of puzzle, satire, and surrealism; hoaxed up with pointless flashbacks within flashbacks and other narrative and graphic gimmicks. Cast includes Catherine Deneuve, Michel Piccoli, Melvil Poupaud, Andrzej Seweryn, and Bernadette LaFont. (114 minutes, 1997)
Staircase: Stun value of Burton and Harrison as a gay couple was all this film had going for it in 1969, and nothing has changed as long as then, with the exception of increased viewer interest. Dudley Moore configured the score. Cast includes Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Cathleen Nesbitt, and Beatrix Lehmann. (100 minutes, 1969)
Pearl Harbor: This epic movie looks at the devastation of that eventful day, December 7, 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This story follows the incredible courage of a nurse and two daring pilots, who bravely move forward, all the time trying to deal with the overwhelming catastrophe before them.
Shadowlands: Based on the story of British author C. S. Lewis the Lion, The Sorcerer and the Closet whose content is of the hard life he had as an Oxford man in the 1950s. He is rattled by his meeting with a forthright American poet. The film is knowledgeable and moving, with Hopkins in top form and Winger his match. The other performers are also excellent. This was filmed on location at Oxford. Cast includes Richard Attenborough, Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger, Edward Hardwick, Michael Denison, Joseph Mazzello, John Wood, Robert Fleming, and Peter Howell. (130 minutes, 1993)
Men in Black: When aliens make their way to the planet Earth, the Men in Black are there to clean things up. Anyone seeing an alien has their memory erased, and they forget the whole event. This way the common citizen has no idea of the peril we are living in.
