Rent-a-Kid - While the supervisor of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a strategy to raise cash by renting out kids. While unsurprising, this silly storyline is shockingly effectual. Sooner or later 3 youngsters are rented by a hip '90s couple thinking about adopting. A respectable family flick. Clue - Silly and insipid whodunit based on the trendy board game of the same name with all the familiar characters Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Red, et al. assembled for a murderous day in a Victorian mansion. Everyone tries tremendously hard but there is nothing they can do to save this weak film. Cast includes Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Ponder, and Howard Hesseman. (87 minutes,'85)

Inferno - American returns to New York from school in Rome to examine the hideous death of his sibling, and finds "sinister moms" inflicting paranormal disorder on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, spellbinding shocker by Italian terror maestro Argento doesn't make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes,'84)

Number One with a Bullet - Carradine and Williams do well in this rather average action motion picture where we have hostile investigators out to depose a drug kingpin. Cast includes Robert Carradine, Billy Dee Williams, Valerie Bertinelli, Peter Graves, Doris Roberts, and Bobby DiCicco. (101 minutes,'87)

Vertical Limit - Peter Garett, an ex mountain climber who gave the sport up after his father died wretchedly while climbing, discovers himself in a demanding state of affairs. His sister and climbing partner have been trapped in a deep ravine while attempting to climb the famous K2 peak. He is one of the only people competent of even trying a near impossible rescue. Time is of the essence, as the trapped climbers will soon freeze to death.

Gun the Man Down - Injured outlaw avows vengeance on allies who left him in the middle of a stickup gone badly. Cast includes James Arness, Angie Dickinson, Robert Wilke, and Emile Meyer. (78 minutes,'56)

Seaside Players - Cast includes John Leyton, Mike Same, Freddie and The Dreamers, Ron Moody, and Liz Fraser. Group of adolescents performing at seaside resort organize for a talent competition which is to be the highlight of the summer season. (94 minutes,'65)
